Join us at as our team hosts on workshops on the importance of bilingualism and types of activities parents can do with their children to promote bilingualism in their home. 2017 Adelante Conference by AAABE, April 21-22, 2017. “¡Adelante! is an educator‐led conference focused on Bilingual/Dual Language education in Central Texas. This conference is a forum for educators to share their experiences with other educators, to disperse insight and innovations in teaching and learning that occur daily on campuses throughout the region, and to ignite conversations among educators about working with bilingual students, families, and communities.” Parents are welcome and encouraged to come!
CelebrAsia Austin Food and Heritage Festival, May 6, 11 am – 3 pm. “Get ready for the Year of the Mango, the new theme for the AARC’s fourth annual CelebrASIA Austin Food & Heritage Festival celebrating Asian American Pacific Islander Month! Enjoy various Asian/Pacific foods, culinary demonstrations, cultural performances, kids’ activities, arts and merchandise available for sale and the very popular Country Experience Rooms to explore Asian countries and Pacific Island regions!” Think Bilingual Austin will be hosting a booth at the event with fun activities for children.
The World Language Festival, Pecan Springs Elementary, June 5-15. Think Bilingual Austin is providing support and resources to help the Overton Group’s program to offer a free summer language, music and culture festival to children in underserved communities in North East Austin.
