The AFA Ciné-Club presents a special Black History Month screening of ADAMA, an acclaimed animated drama inspired by the true stories of the West Africans who fought for France during World War I. Among these conscriptees is Samba—elder brother of Adama, a curious and adventurous boy who leaves his remote African village in search of his absent sibling. Adama’s quest takes him over the seas, across France, and even to the hell-on-earth Battle of Verdun, in an unforgettable journey that will be adored by adults as much as children.

ADAMA screens at 1:00 PM on Sunday, February 17th at the AFS Cinema, 6259 Middle Fiskville Rd. Tickets are available on the AFS website ($6 for AFA members, $9 for the general public). Click here for more info on this screening and the AFA Ciné-Club!
