The Little Tiger Program is a full Chinese immersion preschool and early elementary program. We are a licensed child care program for children ages 3-7 in Austin. Our students learn Mandarin Chinese through our theme and content-based curriculum. The Little Tiger Program covers language arts, math, science, art, practical life and PE — all in Chinese!
The Little Tiger Program is affiliated with Chinese with Meggie, a Chinese language school founded here in Austin in 2006. In response to parent requests and to expand our offerings to the community, the Little Tiger Program opened its doors in 2015. We are adjacent to Chinese with Meggie on our shared campus in beautiful Hyde Park.
Our little tigers attend school Monday through Thursday from 8:30-3:30pm with additional programs for afterschool and Friday care. Our school calendar runs from September to late-June with summer programing available.
Little Tiger Program teachers are all native Mandarin Chinese speakers and have extensive classroom experience. Most of our staff have master’s degrees in foreign-language education and expertise in early childhood education. In accordance with Texas state requirements, all teachers have completed a CPR/First Aid course and undergone a criminal background check.

Summer Camps in Mandarin 2016:
Chinese with Meggie & Little Tiger Program Summer 2016 Day Camp
Dates: July5-July 20/ July 25-August 5
Location: Chinese with Meggie/Little Tiger Campus, 708 East 51st Street
Session 1 is from July 5-July 20, which starts on a Tuesday, as we have Independence Day on that Monday. Session 2 is from July 25 to August 5. Camp hours are from Mon – Fri, 9am-3:00pm (dismissal starts at 2:45pm).
Our summer camps are for children aged 3-8, and within the camp children will be grouped by age.
Campers aged 3-4 will have a nap time, we ask that parents provide blankets, sleeping bags & etc., to make their child comfortable at nap time. Campers will also need to bring their own lunch and snack.
This year’s camp theme is “travels in Chinese” and we are pleased to present two sessions both with a well-rounded curriculum based on this theme. During the first session the students will explore camping and food. For the second session, students will learn traditional games and make their own folk art. As always at Chinese with Meggie, the student-teacher ratio will be kept low to ensure the quality of the program.
