Wednesday, February 13 – Lunar New Year Celebration at Milwood Branch Library

Xin Nian Kuai Le! Saehae Bog Manh-i Bad-euseyo! Chúc Mừng Năm Mới! Happy New Year! Lunar New Year is one of the most important holidays in several Asian countries. 2019 is the Year of Pig! You will explore Chinese calligraphy, make crafts, play fun games, try holiday costumes, find out your zodiac sign, and learn more about the histories and traditions of Lunar New Year. Thursday, February 14 – BoCCa Noche: I Love Idiomas So Much

Celebrate our LOVE for languages and cultural diversity with your family while enjoying music, performances, food and more. A unique Austin tradition that connects International Mother Language Day and Valentine’s Day, BoCCA Noche: I Love Idiomas So Much is a night of celebration of our languages through multicultural arts. For the third year in a row, this event, free and open to the public, will present multicultural music, dances and theater performances by adult performers and students from Austin’s schools. Let Bohemios Perdidos serenade you this Valentine’s Day with a night of romantic Latin music including boleros, bossa nova, Son Cubano, tango and more. Vishudolskaia Collective is a group actively promoting curiosity and open mindedness through the sharing of music and culture of South East Europe. Come unwind with us at Cherrywood Coffeehouse Friday Feb. 15th. Featuring some new and some of your favorite Balkan tunes – Each time we play the line up is slightly different, surprises!
