Description: Nichos, small, hand-painted miniature and sacred shadow boxes, have been a long-standing folk tradition within Latin American, specifically Mexico, dating back to Spanish-colonial times. Known for their religious iconography, nichos often depict sacred saints. In this workshop, participants will learn about the origins of nichos and the significance of el altar while creating a personalized, Day of the Dead-themed tin GLITTER NICHO!
