The Segundo de Febrero exhibit is a historical and educational exhibit that commemorates the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo. The signing of the Treaty on February 2, 1848, ended the Mexico/U.S. War and began what has now been years of peace between the two countries. The Guadalupe Hidalgo Treaty also established the new American southwest and the Mexican American Community.
This year Lead Artist and Curator Ramon Vasquez y Sanchez, along with local and regional artists and poets honor the diverse contributions of Mexican Americans in the Arts and other fields with a group exhibition and poetry readings. The exhibit on view until February 29.
