Foodways of Mexico: La Tacopedia

Join LLILAS Benson for a talk by Alejandro Escalante, food writer and researcher of the cult classicLa Tacopedia: Enciclopedia del Taco. Escalante will discuss maíz, masa, and the many different styles and traditions of the Mexican taco. This talk will be in English, with commentary by food historian Rachel Laudan. A book signing and reception follow, with a taco tasting prepared by Austin’s El Naranjo Restaurant.
