The Schusterman Center for Jewish Studies invites you to a lecture by historian Dr. Michael Brenner entitled “Return to a Strange Country: German-Jewish Intellectuals in Postwar Germany.”

Dr. Brenner is the Seymour and Lillian Abensohn Chair in Israel Studies at American University (Washington, D.C.) and Professor of Jewish History and Culture at the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich. He is the author or co-author of numerous books on German Jewish history, Zionism, and religion and state in Israel, among other topics.
