Join the Carver Musuem in celebrating JUNETEENTH on Saturday, June 18th from 12-4 p.m. The Carver ‘s Juneteenth Celebration will featuring live music, crafts and activities for kids, food, a marketplace with vendors, character interpretations, and more!
Juneteenth, also known as Freedom Day, is a holiday that commemorates the announcement of the abolition of slavery in Texas on June 19th, 1865, and more generally the emancipation of African-American slaves throughout the Confederate South.
Join us in celebrating this important date in American history!
