La Peña’s annual fundraising event, Toma Mi Corazon!  Only $5 or $10 admission, depending on what you would like to participate in ($5 for the silent auction only, at 6pm. $10 includes the preview party, which begins at 4pm).La Peña invites everyone to “Take My Heart” once again.  For the twenty-fourth year, wooden hearts are handed out to artists, children, dignitaries, celebrities, and anyone else who wants one.  They’re free to decorate, paint, carve or whatever form of artistic expression you wish. Once they are returned, the hearts are sold in a silent auction. Proceeds from their sale go towards supporting La Peña’s arts and educational programming.
