ETHNOS was formed in 2013 by musicians interested in creating a platform to collaborate and share their knowledge of different music traditions around the world. With diverse specializations in the musics of Asia, the Middle East, West Africa, and the Caribbean, the members of ETHNOS developed a repertoire exploring unique combinations of musical elements and instruments from these regions of the globe. From these collaborative roots, ETHNOS has evolved into an outreach-oriented ensemble that seeks to educate audiences on the diversity and similarity of the world’s music in engaging and entertaining formats. More information about the band and its members can be found at www.ethnosband.com.
