About the Band:
“It is great honor to interpret music that is here to stay, forever” says Luis A. Ibanez. Once the music starts, It is easy to imagine the Night Clubs, the Dance Halls, the Patios, or any simply space, Salsa Music, and it would be enough to start a party. The dancers would promptly fill up the dance floor to shine with intricate steps and almost acrobatic turns. The perfect binomial combination of tropical music, and dance. The main objective of “Ivan Garcia y su Son Texano” is to interpret classic melodies, of some of the best compositions of the 40’s,50’s, 60’s, until de consolidation in the 80’s of Salsa Music, with a touch of the sounds of the new Millennia. As Ivan Garcia, originally of Cien Fuegos, Cuba, and Music Director has said, “…our music, is thought as a modest contribution to Salsa Music, the great Latin music genre, that has its roots in the Cuban Son. We like to play music that prompts people to dance regardless of, origin, age, or race.”
