Pablo Helguera, a versatile contributor to the field of socially engaged art, discusses his multifarious career as an artist, author and educator, while providing insight into the relationship between pedagogy and art with an emphasis on the embodiment of process,dialogue and human relationships.
Helguera has exhibited and performed extensively at venues such as the Museo de Arte Reina Sofia in Madrid; RCA London; 8th Havana Biennal; PERFORMA 05; MoMA P.S.1; Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum; and Ex-Teresa Espacio Alternativo in Mexico City. He has been the recipient of the Guggenheim and Franklin Furnace fellowships and the Creative Capital and Art Matters grant. He is currently the Director of Adult and Academic Programs at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
