TED Talks feature extraordinary speakers from all backgrounds and cultures. TED stands for Technology, Entertainment, and Design, and this global nonprofit organization is the devoted powerhouse behind a welcoming community of inspired thinkers and curious learners. The x in TEDx stands for “independent,” and TEDx has grown into a program of local, self-organized events that bring communities together to share in a TED-like experience. In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx events have been hosted in over 1,200 cities and in over 100 languages, and TEDxYouth @ Austin is proud to be a part of this movement. This free youth event is open to Austin area high school students. Registration is required.
