The 12th Annual Austin Polish Society Bigos Cook-Off and Hike

Here’s your chance to sample various Polish Bigos recipes! Bigos is a delicious traditional Polish dish also known as Polish hunter’s stew.
Bigos recipes vary quite a lot in Poland and here you will have a chance to try many variations of this tasty dish!
Please come to vote, taste, or just have fun! We’ll have games, Polish music, sausage from the grill and lots of bigos. There is a covered playscape for children, as well as room for soccer and more.
Soft drinks will be provided; you bring whatever else you want to drink.
WHEN: On Saturday – April 2, 2016
TIME: 2pm to 6pm

TICKETS: $8.00 (APS members) $10.00 for non-members. Children under 12 are free.

We need chefs!!!
To compete you need to provide at least 2 gallons of Bigos in a slow cooker or crock pot (electricity is available). Participants in the Bigos cook-off each get a beautiful APS apron! Prizes for Top Chefs!

After the Bigos Cook-off,(around 5pm), Agnieszka Ozarowski is organizing a hike. The 1.5-hour hike will start across the street from the picnic area.
Comfortable shoes are needed.
