Juneteenth Celebration at the Pflugerville Library. A short dance performance by the Copperfield Youth Group followed a performance by local blues musician Jackie Venson. Today, June 14, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm.

Juneteenth Event at the George Washington Carver Museum & Cultural Center featuring live music, crafts and activities for kids, food, a marketplace with vendors, character interpretations, and more! June 18,  12 pm – 4 pm.

Juneteenth Rhythm and Ribs Festival at Old Settler’s Park beginning 7:30 to 11:30 p.m. Friday, June 17, and a full day of entertainment from 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday, June 18, at the Lakeview Pavilion.

African American Bookfest. This annual event, presented in partnership with the Folktales Literary Society, celebrates black writers and the joy of literature. George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center, June 25.

Rhythms African Drum Workshop offered 4th Saturday of each through August at the George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center, 10:30 am-12:30 pm.

Solstice Festival 2016 is a weekend long festival with music, art, food and more.  Tickets are $20-$50 with children under 12 free.  Pan Am Park, June 17th beginning at 7 pm.  June 18th beginning at 2 pm.

Woodland Faerie Trail by Silver Moonlight provides a magical experience in the Zilker Botanical Gardens and includes entertainment, music and cold treats. $6/ Adult non-resident, $4/ Adult residents. $2/ for Children (ages 3-12) and Seniors (age 62 & over). June 18, 8 pm -10 pm.

Midsummer Faerie Carnival is a festival that offers gifts to faeries with alters and rituals, faerie costume contest, face painting and more. Vortex, June 19, 6pm – 11 pm.

River City Pops: British Invasion. River City Pops presents an exciting, choreographed production featuring iconic songs from The Beatles, Elton John, Queen, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Coldplay, Wham, and other great British artists. It’s a show for all ages.  June 16- 19.  Check schedule for various times.

Shakespeare in the Park: The Winter’s Tale. The Winter’s Tale takes place at Ramsey Park Picnic Pavilion Thursdays – Saturdays, June 9-11, 16-18, and 23-25, 2016, beginning at 8:00 p.m.  FREE, family-friendly, and open to the public.
